“Executive Director of International Finance Conference – Americo Ibarra Newsletter”

The 2010 Edition of the International Finance Conference (CFIX) will be celebrated in the city of Monterrey, Mexico.

This event is the expression of its participants’ academic vocation, as well as a new opportunity to reaffirm its presence as the most important Latin American event of its field.

The assistance and participation of the academic community, businesses, government, and international organizations who are interested in this field is growing in quantity and quality; being all called upon to promote the diffusion of the most recent knowledge, and to generate a fertile environment in which the communication that promotes all those links between the investigators of different geographic locations, encourages the investigation and publication of its results and helps strengthen the role of the financial sector in the economic development.

This call includes the presentation of the theoretical and empirical investigations, the business cases, the description of the experimented changes undertaken by the financial markets in the regulation and supervision issues; as well as the market phenomenon associated with new ways of world competition, and the diffusion of new technologies.

The relevance of the financial sector as a whole to the economy goes through an analysis of the decision process of individuals and enterprises, the legal-institutional context, and the fiscal and monetary policies. Hence the extent of the subject matter of this notice, and the proposal of this framework of discussion in relation to the financial markets in the economic development. In this sense, it’s important that the research work, business cases, and institution’s analysis, regulations, and financial practices contribute to a greater transparency, efficacy, and depth of the markets, all in the benefit of investment and saving, diversification and risk management, and the economic stability.

The Executive Director of the International Finance Conference, in its Tenth Edition has once more the enthusiasm to summon you to collaborate in the promotion of this event by sending your research work according to the deadlines and fixed times; knowing that Monterrey will welcome us once more in the fraternal way that only they know how to do.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
