INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CONFERENCE 2010
The 2010 Edition of the International Finance Conference (CFIX) will be celebrated in Mexico City, at the new Santa Fe Campus of Tec de Monterrey (www.itesm.mx).
This annual event is an expression of the academic interests and discovery passion of the participants, as well as an opportunity to network and learn from colleagues from all over the world. For a decade, the International Finance Conference has positioned itself as the most important Latin American event in its field.
With the assistance and participation of members from the academic community, business, government, and international organizations, the aim of our meetings is to promote the diffusion of the most recent knowledge in Finance, and to generate a fertile environment in which we can encourage research and publications that will contribute to a better understanding of the financial industry, not only in Latin America, although our main emphasis corresponds to that region of the world because there is the home of many of us. We hope to contribute to increase the knowledge of the markets, institutions and participants of all Latin American countries as a mean to help strengthen the role of the financial sector in the economic development of our nations.
This call is addressed to all interested participants willing to present theoretical and empirical investigations, business cases, or the description of the changes undertaken by financial markets as a result of regulatory and supervisory changes that have occurred in recent periods. All this, framed in the context of an increasingly integrated global financial industry that has brought along new ways and strategies of competition.
The Executive Director of the International Finance Conference, Américo Ibarra, the President of the Tenth Edition of the International Finance Conference, Roberto Santillán, all the former Conference Presidents, and the members of the Board of the Conference, wish to cordially invite you to come to Mexico City in November. The weather is really nice at that time of the year, there are many touristic attractions, including museums, gardens, historical monuments and modern buildings, and, being the capital city of Mexico, it is an ideal departure point to visit all the country: colonial architecture, pre Hispanic heritage, beach, forest, mountains… We are certain this will be a very enjoyable experience to meet friends and colleagues and a productive investment of your time, from a professional point of view.
Americo Ibarra L
Executive Director
